Schlachtfeld leerer Krüge

Did you ever ask, how many visitors come to the Oktoberfest each year, or how much beer is drunk at the Oktoberfest? If so, we have these figures on the following pages.

Very interesting is how the  number of visitors changed during the last 29 years. For example, the weather and even more the economical situation had a significant influence on the number of visitors.

A remarkable rise in  beer consumation can be seen. While less pork sausages are eaten, visitors eat more and more chicken in the last 50 years.

Not following the overall tendency, in 2001 there was a significant ruduction in numbers, because of the events of 9/11, happening just a few days before the 2001 Oktoberfest started.
